Magic (Mind Trick)
Materials required:
Pen or pencil, paper and an envelope, Clock or clock picture (analog)
Magic Show:
1) At the beginning of the show write a number on a piece of paper and keep it inside an envelope (Do not show this number to the spectator).
2) Ask the spectator to select a number between one and twelve.
3) Tell him/her to start at 12 on the clock face and to spell the letters in their number - counting through the numbers on the clock in clockwise order.
4) After the spectator lands on a number as a result of “Step Three,” tell him/her to spell the new number counting through the numbers on the clock in clockwise order.
5) Once again ask him/her to spell the new number counting through the numbers on the clock in clockwise order.
6) Now ask him/her to open the envelope. He/she will be amazed to see the correct answer.
Example:
If the spectator selects the number five he/she counts ‘f’, ‘i’, ‘v’ and ‘e’ moving four spaces starting from 12 and ending on 4. Now he/she will count ‘f’, ‘o’, ‘u’ and ‘r’ starting from 5 and ending on 8. Finally he/she will count ‘e’, ‘i’, ‘g’,’h’ and ‘t’ starting from 9 and ending on 1.
Trick:
Write the number one on a piece of paper and keep it inside the envelope. The spectator will always reach one after spelling the numbers three times.
