What is “Mudra”?
“Mudra” is a Sanskrit (ancient Indian language) word meaning symbolic gesture. While some mudras involve the entire body, most are performed with the hands and fingers. In Yoga, mudras are used in conjunction with pranayama (breathing exercise) to stimulate different parts of the body in order to increase the flow of energy.

Apan Mudra
Apan Mudra is also known as Energy Mudra.
Steps:
1. Touch the tip of the thumb with the tips of middle finger and ring finger.
2. Stretch out the pinky and the index finger.
Benefits:
1. It improves the mental state of the body. It gives serenity and peace.
2. It gives relief during vomiting.
3. It cures problems related to menstruation.
4. It is useful in case of urinary problems.
Steps:

Hakini Mudra
Steps:
Benefits:
- Hold your hands up (vertically) in front of you, so that your palms face each other, but do not touch.
- Bring the fingertips of your right hand towards the fingertips of your left hand so that they touch each other.
- Inhale while you place your tongue against the top of your mouth
- Exhale while allowing your tongue to relax
Benefits:
- Improves memory and concentration
- Promotes calmness
